The unforgettable love of Doctor Zhivago

Book in English, 2nd edition revised and enriched

Here, Neil McKinnon analyzes with a “subjective camera” David Lean’s famous movie. All is seen through Yuri’s eyes for his Lara – as well as the reverse. Russian poetry quickly envelops the audience and brings them to forget the Reds, the cold, the revolutionary terror…  and Julie Christie will charm you so much that you won’t be able to give up both of Boris Pasternak’s heroes anytime soon.

“Nowadays, nobody reads books anymore.
Well, not paper books, that is…
because digital reigns.”

Digital books are a complement to paper books. Not the reverse. Many readers prefer – by far – the feel of good-old paper, its texture between their fingers rather than the forefinger browsing anonymously (not amorously) on an impersonal glassy surface. Electronic efficiency has nothing to do with paper pleasure.
Don’t we see in public transportation more novels in traditional form rather than digital tablets? If you still have a doubt, jump fast to the Books in English section with our presentation of … bʊk!!!

Against oblivion

It would be boastful to write “books that one doesn’t forget”. Let us therefore write that they exist so that we won’t forget their heroes, their heroines, and be reminded of their incredible situations because chance is sometimes so unlikely! One would almost think that luck happens by chance…
